NOW Foods Methyl Folate delivers 1,000 mcg of (6S)-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate [(6S)-5-MTHF] per tablet — the biologically active form of folate that the body can utilise directly, without the conversion steps required by synthetic folic acid. Each tablet provides 1,667 µg DFE, equivalent to 834% of the EU Nutrient Reference Value for folate. The active folate is sourced from Quatrefolic®, a patented glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-MTHF recognised for its enhanced stability and solubility.

Folate contributes to normal amino acid synthesis, normal blood formation, and normal homocysteine metabolism. It also contributes to normal psychological function, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and the normal function of the immune system. During pregnancy, folate contributes to maternal tissue growth. These are authorised health claims under EU Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006.

Formulated with a clean, minimal excipient list and free from animal-derived ingredients, this product is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Each bottle contains 90 tablets — a full 90-day supply at the recommended daily serving.

Usage & Dosage

Take 1 tablet daily with a meal.

Warnings

For adults only. The elderly and individuals with conditions that may impair vitamin B-12 absorption should frequently check vitamin B-12 status when taking this product, as high-dose folic acid may mask vitamin B-12 deficiency. Consult a physician if pregnant or nursing, taking medication (especially phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone, or methotrexate), or if you have a medical condition (especially any condition involving nutrient malabsorption).
